DORA BRYAN ANNOUNCES RETIREMENT

Veteran British actress DORA BRYAN has announced she is retiring from show business to care for her ill husband.

The 83-year-old A TASTE OF HONEY star wants to look after BILL LAWTON, who is suffering from Alzheimer's disease.

However, Bryan admits she might be tempted to mount a comeback should the working hours suit her.

She says, "I think it is time I had some time to myself and my husband.

"I have had such a long career and it will be nice just to stay at home with Bill and out cat and dog and just relax with all me things around me.

"I would consider working on something that would allow me to come home early every night so I have not ruled out acting completely."
