TV BOUNTY HUNTER DOG RELEASED FROM JAIL

LATEST: Reality TV bounty hunter DUANE 'DOG' CHAPMAN has been released on bail from jail in Mexico after he was found guilty of conspiring to kidnap a convicted rapist there.

The DOG THE BOUNTY HUNTER star, his brother TIMOTHY and son LELAND spent over a day in jail last week (ends15SEP06) before a federal magistrate freed them late on Friday (15SEP06).

The trio are charged with conspiracy and the illegal detention of rapist ANDREW LUSTER in a country where bounty hunting is a crime.

Local officials in Puerto Vallarta, where Chapman and his team 'arrested' Luster in 2003, decided the trio wasn't a flight risk. The star was released on $300,000 (GBP166,600) bail while his kin were released on $100,000 (GBP55,500) each.

The Chapmans must wear monitoring devices under the terms of their bail and will not be allowed to leave their homes for anything but work until they return to court for extradition hearings.

Meanwhile, Luster is currently serving a 124-year prison term in California.
