USHER is hoping to add to his Guinness Book of World Records title by holding the longest note on Broadway.
The YEAH! singer, who already holds the record for the Most Albums Sold in A Week, is working towards breaking the existing record of 26 seconds before he ends his run as singing lawyer BILLY FLYNN in musical Chicago on 1 October (06).
The R+B hunk is using a line in the song WE BOTH REACHED FOR THE GUN to help him top the record.
He says, "I'm at 21-and-a-half (seconds) right now.
"The object is to beat the record and also be on tone. The guy who broke the record was totally off key but I wanna try to get it."
