JACKSON HATED MIRRORS WHEN SHE WAS FAT

JANET JACKSON was so upset by her hefty look at Christmas (05) she refused to look in a mirror.

The pop superstar packed on the pounds for a film role she eventually had to turn down and hated her chubby look.

She says, "I could not believe how big I was, how heavy I really was. I would see myself in the mirror, but I wouldn't look too often. I didn't want to get used to that image."

Jackson spent the first part of 2006 working out furiously to lose weight and now looks trim again.

She's upset that critics are poking fun at her new look, claiming that it's all the result of some cosmetic work.

She fumes, "It does drive me crazy because I've worked real hard and I think it's really easy for them to write it off as that (plastic surgery).

"It isn't hurtful, it just p**ses me off. I want to kick some a**."

Jackson acknowledges she had cosmetic surgery on her nose when she was a teenager but she insists she's not to keen to go under the knife again.

She adds, "When I was 16 I changed my nose. Would I do it again? I've seen a lot of women that have been pulled and snatched and it's not too cute."
