PARFITT'S EX-WIFE INTRODUCED HIM TO NEW BRIDE

STATUS QUO star RICK PARFITT's jilted ex-wife has hit out at the rocker after revealing it was her that introduced him to his new bride.

PATTY PARFITT was left heartbroken when her childhood sweetheart husband ditched her for friend LYNDSAY WHITBURN, who she met at a local health club.

The guitarist and Whitburn, his third bride, married in Gibraltar earlier this month (SEP06).

Devastated Patty says, "I can't believe that I was friends with Lyndsay in the first place, I introduced her to Rick and now this has happened.

"It's a real kick in the teeth... it's horrible, just horrible.

"It was only in May (06) when Rick was on tour in Australia that he was ringing me up declaring his undying love for me. Then four months later he runs off and marries someone else. It's bizarre and it's horrible.

"Clearly Rick doesn't care about anything else but himself."
