NEW TV BACHELOR IS A REAL PRINCE

The star of upcoming US TV dating show THE BACHELOR: ROME is a real-life Italian prince.

Hunky LORENZO BORGHESE's ancestors were given royal titles from POPE PAUL V in the 1600s, and although he was brought up in America, the young prince, 34, still has land and property in and around Rome.

His royal background isn't Borghese's only claim to fame - he's also related to historical war hero NAPOLEON BONAPARTE and his grandmother created the Borghese cosmetics line for Revlon in the 1980s.

The Borghese entrepreneurial streak continues with the new Bachelor - he owns pet-grooming line Royal Treatment Pet Spa.

Past TV Bachelors have included American football star JESSE PALMER and Firestone Family Estates wineries heir ANDREW FIRESTONE.
