WICKER MAN FAILS TO SCARE DUPREE OFF THE UK BOX OFFICE

NICOLAS CAGE's horror movie THE WICKER MAN has failed to scare YOU, ME AND DUPREE off the top of the UK box office.

MOLLY PARKER as Sister Rose and NICOLAS CAGE as Edward Malus in 'The Wicker Man'

The OWEN WILSON and KATE HUDSON comedy took GBP1.16 million ($2.8 million) over the weekend (01-03SEP06), despite competition by new releases The Wicker Man and LITTLE MAN.

Meanwhile, MICHAEL DOUGLAS and KIEFER SUTHERLAND's thriller THE SENTINEL was another new entry, knocking last week's number four CARS down to five.
