LATEST: British TV bosses have offered a GBP40,000 ($72,000) reward to anyone who provides information leading to the return of stolen master tapes of upcoming BBC series ROBIN HOOD.
The tapes were taken from studios in Hungary and thieves have since issued a GBP1 million ($1.8 million) ransom demand for the safe return of the reels.
It is believed a Hungarian extra from the show is the culprit.
TV bosses are now deciding whether to pay the ransom or re-shoot the whole series, which would mean calling the stars, JONAS ARMSTRONG (ROBIN) and KEITH ALLEN (SHERIFF OF NOTTINGHAM), back to the Eastern European country.
The show is set to begin broadcasting in October (06).
