GEST TO BECOME UK REALITY STAR

LIZA MINNELLI's estranged husband DAVID GEST has become an unlikely addition to one of Britain's most popular reality TV shows.

The music promoter will star in the next series of I'M A CELEBRITY, GET ME OUT OF HERE in November (06), which pits showbiz contestants against creepy crawlies and wild animals in Australia's outback.

A TV insider says, "David is very keen to make his mark on British TV and we knew we just had to meet him.

"He is eccentric and very showbiz and would be superb on I'm A Celeb. We're not sure how he'll deal with it - he's used to living in luxury. But it will be interesting to say the least."

Gest will be joined in the jungle by model JASMINE LENNARD, who was recently romantically linked to pop mogul SIMON COWELL.
