GEORGE SLAMS US JUSTICE SYSTEM
Singer BOY GEORGE has blasted the American judicial system as ''hideous'' after becoming so dehydrated in a prison cell he was forced to drink his own urine.

The star - real name GEORGE O'DOWD - was arrested last year (05) for falsely reporting a burglary at his Manhattan apartment and admits the ordeal was one of the most harrowing experiences of his life.
He says, "All my life I've thought, 'I never want to get in trouble with the law in America.'
"But everything happens for a reason, I suppose - I just haven't worked out what it is yet. I think everyone knows what happened that night. Some parts were exaggerated, some were underplayed.
"But when I was arrested the police were really hideous to me. I just couldn't understand why they would be so bad - they wouldn't even give you water so I had to drink my own urine in the cells. Seriously.
"I thought, 'What have I done to deserve this? What happened to beyond reasonable doubt?'"
The singer was sentenced to five days working for New York's Department Of Sanitation, which he completed last week (ends18AUG06).
