Two men working for US cable network Fox News were kidnapped in Gaza City yesterday (14AUG06).
According to witnesses, a car carrying the Fox News crew was ambushed by Palestinian gunmen, who then drove away with their targets as prisoners.
A spokesperson for Fox News says in a statement: "We can confirm that two of our people were taken against their will in Gaza."
According to a Fox New source, the two kidnapped men are reporter STEVE CENTANNI, who is American, and an unnamed cameraman from New Zealand.
The source said the men had been parked with a bodyguard near the headquarters of the Palestinian security service when two trucks filled with gunman pulled up, according to news website TMZ.com.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the abduction.
