WILL FERRELL's TALLADEGA NIGHTS: THE BALLAD OF RICKY BOBBY is cruising at the top of the US box office, after taking $23 million (GBP12.8) during its second week in cinemas.

Teen dancing drama STEP UP debuted strongly in second place with $21 million (GBP11.6).
Last week's news of another terrorist plot targetting airliners didn't dampen audience's appetites for director OLIVER STONE's WORLD TRADE CENTER, which finished in third place with $19 million (GBP10.5).
The film stars NICOLAS CAGE and MICHAEL PENA as two Port Authority policemen who are buried alive in the rubble of the World Trade Center collapse and is Hollywood's first big-budget film about the 9/11 tragedy in New York City.
Animated comedy BARNYARD netted $10 million (GBP5.5) in its second weekend to score fourth spot, while horror film PULSE finished fifth with $8.5 million (GBP4.7) in its first week of release.
