HIT FACTORY RE-OPENS AS SWANKY APARTMENT BLOCK

The New York studio complex which hosted recording sessions for MADONNA, STEVIE WONDER, JOHN LENNON and U2 is to re-open as a six-storey condominium project.

The Hit Factory building has been shuttered for a year and now will become the site for a new 27-apartment venture.

Music fans who fancy the idea of walking the same corridors as their heroes and heroines will have to pay from $1.1 million (GBP611,100) to $4 million (GBP2.2 million) when the condo complex opens next year (07).
