LATEST: New York punk mecca CBGB is moving to Las Vegas, Nevada.
After months of speculation as to the future of the club, CBGB boss HILLY KRISTAL - who lost his lease last year (05) - has confirmed he's heading for Sin City.
Kristal, who will close CBGB after 33 years on 30 September (06), says, "I intend to take everything out of there that represents CBGB.
"We're going to take the bars, the toilets, the urinals, even the doors. We want to re-create the essence of the club."
CBGB hosted the New York punk revolution in the mid to late 1970s, staging regular shows for the RAMONES, PATTI SMITH, BLONDIE and TALKING HEADS, among others.
