Rapper-turned-actor ICE CUBE was shocked when he was run off stage by policemen while performing F**K THA POLICE, because the officers simply wanted his autograph.

The star - real name O'SHEA JACKSON - frequently finds himself being hounded by star-struck cops.

The EXPRESS YOURSELF hitmaker recalls, "Back in '89, I was in Detroit with NWA, and the cops ran us off stage when we performed it. They detained us, then asked for autographs before they let us go.

"Just recently, I did an instore performance in Los Angeles and these two cops had their picture taken with me. They'd bought that record and loved it.

"See, the cops know what time it is. They know they're dirty. That's real."
