LATEST: US TV network CBS has once more appealed against a $550,000 (GBP305,000) fine imposed after JANET JACKSON's 2004 Super Bowl 'wardrobe malfunction'.
Janet Jackson and Justin Timberlake duet together at the Superbowl XXXVIII Half-time show and finish the song by Timberlake pulling off the right side of Jackson's outfit to expose her breast.
The FCC have so far strictly maintained the breast-baring incident violated strict federal regulations against broadcasting indecent material, and fined 20 stations owned by the broadcast giant.
But CBS bosses, who had a previous appeal rejected in May (06), are determined to overturn the ruling.
A statement reads: "We disagree strongly with the FCC's conclusions and will continue to pursue all remedies necessary to affirm our legal rights.
"CBS has apologized to the American people for the inappropriate and unexpected half-time incident, and immediately implemented safeguards that have governed similar broadcasts ever since."
