SHEARS: ELTON REMINDS ME OF MY DAD
JAKE SHEARS finds it difficult listening to his musical idol SIR ELTON JOHN because the singer reminds him so much of his father.
The flamboyant SCISSOR SISTERS frontman is a huge fan of John, but insists his admiration is partly based on similarities to two important men in his life.
He says, "Elton reminds me a lot of my dad.
"My dad is entrepreneurial, funny, with a dark sense of humour, a little grouchy and he's a man's man - which my boyfriend is, too.
"There are qualities that link all three of those men in my life."
