METCALFE LEFT RED-FACED BY OBSERVANT DAWSON

DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES hunk JESSE METCALFE was left red-faced on a US chat show on Monday night (24JUL06) when actress ROSARIO DAWSON quizzed him about his marriage plans.

The actor was appearing on the JIMMY KIMMEL LIVE show to promote new film JOHN TUCKER MUST DIE when SIN CITY star Dawson, who was also a guest, wanted information about his love life.

Metcalfe was trying to play down his romance with British pop star NADINE COYLE on the show when Kimmel showed off the couple's cover shot and spread for OK! magazine.

And when the chat show host quizzed the coy actor about his marriage plans, Dawson chipped in, "It says on the cover (of the magazine), 'They want to get married and have kids... It has quotation marks.'"

Kimmel thanked eagle-eyed Dawson and continued to quiz Metcalfe about his plans to settle down.
