SMITH AND WIFE MARCH AGAINST VIOLENCE

LATEST: Rapper/actor WILL SMITH and his wife JADA PINKETT SMITH protested against the rise in street violence in his hometown this weekend (22JUL06) by joining a march for peace.

CHARLES 'CHARLIE MACK' ALSTON's annual Party 4 Peace in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania aims to raise awareness of street crime which saw 380 people killed last year (05) alone.

Speaking at the event, Smith said "We're going to take this walk, hopefully draw a little attention to the problem and get some solutions."

He was joined by local officials and members of the community.
