PRINCE WILLIAM AND HARRY'S 'GREAT HURT' OVER PUBLISHED PICTURES

LATEST: British royals PRINCE WILLIAM and PRINCE HARRY have spoken out about their deep sadness over pictures published of their dying mother.

Two European magazines caused outrage yesterday (14JUL06) by publishing pictures of late British royal DIANA, PRINCESS OF WALES in the wreckage of the car which fatally cashed in Paris, France, in August 1997.

Italian publication Chi and Spanish magazine Interview both decided to run the photograph which shows an attending paramedic placing an oxygen mask over Diana's face.

The princes released a statement which says, "We feel deeply saddened that such a low has been reached.

"Publishing such material causes great hurt to us, our father, our mother's family and all those who loved and respected her."

A royal spokesman adds, "They want people to be under no illusion that publication of these pictures has caused personal upset and distress to them and others."
