Music producer QUINCY JONES is desperate for fans to forget one of his catchiest tunes after the AUSTIN POWERS movies somersaulted the track to enduring international renown.
SOUL BOSSA NOVA was used as the theme for 1997 JAMES BOND spoof AUSTIN POWERS: INTERNATIONAL MAN OF MYSTERY, as well as follow-ups AUSTIN POWERS: THE SPY WHO SHAGGED ME and AUSTIN POWERS IN GOLDMEMBER.
But Quincy is so fed up of hearing the track's opening bars, he regrets ever lending his hit to the MIKE MYERS-starring franchise.
He says, "It's been around 42 years and I still can't get rid of it!
"I thought I had swept it under the carpet but then along comes Mike Myers - The Spy Who Shagged Me...
"He sure shagged me with it!"
