RICHARDS: 'I FELL OUT OF A LITTLE TREE'

ROLLING STONE KEITH RICHARDS has dispelled the myth he damaged his skull after falling from a coconut tree in Fiji, insisting he only took a tumble from a ''little tree''.

The BROWN SUGAR guitarist was rushed to hospital in New Zealand in April (06), after suffering serious head injuries while vacationing in Fiji, forcing the band to postpone their European tour.

The 62-year-old subsequently underwent surgery to drain fluid from his brain, but he can see the funny side to his freak accident, because media reports blew the height of his fall out of proportion.

He says, "If you saw the tree, you would realise the joke. It certainly was not a coconut tree.

"Fiji has other trees, too. It was just a little tree. You wouldn't believe it if you saw it."
