CUSTOMS OFFICIALS 'RUIN' DOHERTY'S HEROIN IMPLANTS

Heroin implants being sent to troubled rocker PETE DOHERTY troubled Portuguese customs officials so much, their search left them unusable.

Doherty recently travelled from his native London to Portugal in his latest attempt to kick crack cocaine and heroin.

The BABYSHAMBLES frontman, who is tested by court officials twice a week for drugs, is trying to remain clean despite the ruined batch of heroin implants, which block opiate receptors.

Speaking to British TV host JONATHAN ROSS last night (07JUL06), Doherty said, "The b**tards at Portuguese customs cut open the implants to look for drugs.

"They cracked open the implants, they became stale so can't be used."
