SOAP STAR HENDRICKSON COMMITS SUICIDE
US soap star BENJAMIN HENDRICKSON has committed suicide at his New York home.
The 55-year-old actor, who played HAL MUNSON on the daytime soap AS THE WORLD TURNS, reportedly shot himself on Saturday (01JUL06) after falling into a deep depression following the cancer death of his mother.
According to the New York Post newspaper, police discovered the 2003 Emmy winner's body at his home in Huntington on Sunday (02JUL06).
The TV actor also appeared in soaps GUIDING LIGHT and ANOTHER WORLD.
