LILY ALLEN LEFT BEHIND TROUBLED YEARS

British singer LILY ALLEN is delighted she is becoming a success in the music industry, because her penchant for drugs as a teenager ruined her education.

The 21-year-old readily admits she struggles to remember her teenage years because she was so intoxicated, but she insists she never fell on hard times thanks to her attractiveness.

She tells Attitude magazine, "Between the ages of 16 and 19 is such a blur; I couldn't do a day without smoking a eighth of week - I was f**ked.

"At the same time, I wasn't this drug addict sitting on street corners and I was pretty enough to get free drugs off boys.

"I was chucked out of a lot of schools sometimes for not doing any work and for just being a chatterbox and a troublemaker."
