ALLEN: 'SO MUCH FOR 'CONNECTIONS'
British singer LILY ALLEN is slamming reports that she used her family connections to get a record deal, as she insists her actor dad KEITH ALLEN has a dreadful reputation.
The SMILE star has been plagued with criticisms she has rocketed to fame because of her family - her mother is also film producer.
But Allen believes she is soon to eclipse any success her parents may have had, and is becoming a star in her own right.
She tells Attitude magazine, "This connections thing is such bulls**t. As if my dad just rings someone up in Parlophone and says, 'Lily hasn't got a job right now, can you give her a record deal?'
"'Yeah, sure Keith, cos you've got such a good reputation and you're so hardworking.'
"I googled my dad the other day and he came up as being Lily Allen's father."
