KYLIE: 'I WAS SUPPORTING OZ'

LATEST: Pop singer KYLIE MINOGUE has lashed at reports she and sister DANNII abandoned their native Australia to cheer on France in the soccer World Cup.

A British publication quoted Dannii as saying the sisters were supporting France alongside Kylie's French boyfriend OLIVIER MARTINEZ.

In a message written before the Socceroos were knocked out by Italy on Monday (26JUN06), Kylie pledged her support to the Aussie team.

She fumed, "I am offended by reports in the media claiming that Dannii or I are giving any less than our full support to the Socceroos.

"On the contrary, we have been cheering on our boys in the World Cup. We are right behind you."
