STEWART TO CHRISTEN SEVENTH CHILD

Veteran rocker ROD STEWART will have his seventh child christened in Leith, Scotland, this weekend (24-25JUN06).

The superstar and his fiancee PENNY LANCASTER have chosen to christen seven-month-old son ALASTAIR in the same district of the Scottish capital Edinburgh that Stewart's father BOB grew up in.

The MAGGIE MAY singer's spokeswoman MOIRA BELLAS says, "The baby is being christened over the weekend. It is a private affair for family and friends and is being held in Edinburgh."
