TRAGEDY AT BONNAROO FESTIVAL
The world's most successful music festival, Bonnaroo, was hit by tragedy on Saturday night (17JUN06) when a tour bus escorting bluegrass star RICKY SKAGGS from the event hit and killed a man on a Tennessee freeway.
Skaggs' bus was only a mile away from the festival site, where the banjo player had performed, when a unnamed man stepped onto Interstate 24, directly in front of the vehicle. He was killed instantly.
Initial reports suggest the victim had been attending the four-day festival, and had scaled a fence to reach the freeway. The accident is under investigation.
