SPEARS: '55 HOUR WEDDING WAS SILLY'

BRITNEY SPEARS has brushed off her two-day marriage to JASON ALEXANDER as a "silly" mistake - but she'll never regret being Mrs Alexander.

The pop superstar stunned the world when she exchanged vows with childhood pal Alexander in Las Vegas, Nevada at the beginning of 2004.

The marriage was annulled after Spears' mother and her aides jetted to Vegas and convinced the pop princess to change her mind.

Now, looking back on the brief marriage, Spears says, "That was just silly... but I have no regrets.

"With Jason I feel like I was just wanting a sense of home because I was on the road for a while and I was doing a lot of what I was told instead of what I wanted to really do.

"I didn't know how to break out of that, so in my young mind I'm like, 'I'm just gonna get married to someone (sic) of my home friends."
