JACOB THE JEWELLER CAUGHT UP IN DRUGS BUST

Celebrity jeweller JACOB ARABO has been caught up in a drug and money laundering scandal after he was indicted with 15 others by federal agents yesterday (15JUN06).

Arabo, aka JACOB THE JEWELLER, has been a longtime favourite of hip-hops stars like DIDDY and LIL' KIM. He was arrested after agents alleged he was among 16 defendants who violated federal drug laws and laundered in excess of $270 million (GBP150 million).

Court documents, obtained by TMZ.com, allege the defendants maintained a drug operation under the name the Black Mafia Family. The organisation reportedly transported and distributed cocaine.

The indictment seeks forfeiture of more than 30 pieces of jewellery, in addition to a number of residences and cars, according to TMZ.com.
