RIGHT SAID FRED TO OPEN WORLD CUP
British pop duo RIGHT SAID FRED jumped at the chance to open the FIFA World Cup in Berlin, Germany, tonight (07JUN06), because they want to show the world they are still together.

The I'M TOO SEXY stars will appear alongside PINK in front of 160,000 people gathered at the Brandenburg Gate, but have been forgotten in their homeland after vanishing from the UK charts more than a decade ago (93).
Singer RICHARD FAIRBRASS says, "People think we disappeared in the early 1990s. But we signed a deal in Germany and had two top ten albums there.
"We were both having domestic problems which we wanted to sort out in a private, away from the scrutiny of the British media. So it suited us to go abroad. But we had to keep working."
