PUBLICIST: 'STELLA REFUSED TO BEFRIEND HEATHER'

HEATHER MILLS' best friend and publicist MICHELE ELYZABETH has confirmed the model-turned-activist feuded with stepdaughter STELLA throughout her marriage to former BEATLE SIR PAUL McCARTNEY.

Elyzabeth has gone public in a bid to clear up reports her client was determined to drive a wedge between her husband and his children after she became his wife in 2002.

She insists it was designer Stella who created problems because she refused to get along with her stepmother.

The publicist explains, "Heather really does not dislike (Stella), but it's true that for several years she said to me that she tried to do everything she could to get along with Stella.

"Stella would not make a move to meet her half way. I knew there was a feud."
