ASH STAR'S LONG COMMUTE

ASH drummer RICK McMURRAY is commuting 5,000 kilometres (3,200 miles) to work with the band, because he refuses to move from his Scotland home.

Instead of permanently joining his Northern Irish bandmates in New York, where they are working on their new album, McMurray jumps on a plane and flies in from Edinburgh when he is needed.

Frontman TIM WHEELER says, "We both (MARK HAMILTON) relocated here last summer.

"I'm loving it here. Rick's still in Scotland, but he flies back and forth whenever we need him".
