EAST 17 ADMIT FASHION MISTAKES

Flamboyant British boy band EAST 17 have branded their 1990s videos and stage shows fashion disasters, but don't regret experimenting with street wear.

The baseball-capped four-piece from London insist their outrageous outfits were no worse than US hip-hop acts of the time, but admit their wardrobe memories are a little embarrassing now.

Band member JOHN HENDY says, "Hats! What was I doing?!

"You look back on it and think, 'Oh, maybe I shouldn't have done that,' but I think everything worked back in the day.

"You can't have regrets because it's there now and it stuck.

"All the hip-hop acts were doing it... MC HAMMER. They were all wearing big hats and funny-coloured clothes."
