British boy band EAST 17 have put their future in the hands of the press, vowing only to reform if their reunion gig gets good reviews.
East 17 performs at a reunion concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire. London, England - 30.05.06
The HOUSE OF LOVE hitmakers dominated the charts in the 1990s but after singer/songwriter TONY MORTIMER's sudden departure in 1997, the band had little success under their new moniker E17.
However, the London four-piece have reunited for a one-off gig in the British capital tonight (30MAY06), and promise to release new material if journalists give their performance the thumbs up.
Band member JOHN HENDY says, "I think we'll just have to see what comes out of tonight.
"When we wake up tomorrow there's either going to be a really good piece in the papers or a bad piece.
"But if everything goes well we'd love to do some more work together, as a band."
