BRANDO FINED FOR COURT OUTBURSTS

MARLON BRANDO's son CHRISTIAN has been fined $1,000 (GBP555) for his unruly behaviour during the ROBERT BLAKE civil trial.

Christian was held in contempt of court after he was called in as a witness in the wrongful-death civil case brought against actor Blake by the family of his murdered wife BONNY LEE BAKLEY.

Officials took exception to foul-language he used in court as he tried to convince jurors that Blake was guilty of murdering his wife, but mouthing the words, "He did it," as he left the stand.

In passing judgment on Friday (26MAY06), JUDGE DAVID SCHACHTER said, "This interfered with the processes of the court."

Christian apologised for his actions, telling Schachter, "I have to watch my mouth... When I'm overwhelmed I lose it sometimes. I'm taking medication for that."

Blake's lawyers suggested Christian was involved in the murder of Bakley, a former girlfriend, back in 2001, but he has always maintained he had nothing to do with the crime.
