AMA REPLACES GABRIELLE AT EAST 17 REUNION

British boy band EAST 17 have enrolled soul star SHOLA AMA to duet with them at their forthcoming reunion concert, because their original singing partner GABRIELLE has gone into hiding from an alleged stalker.

Last month (APR06), British newspapers reported the DREAMS singer had become a virtual recluse in her Kent, England, home, after a series of threats from a deranged fan.

East 17 hoped Gabrielle's stalker would be behind bars by the time of their London gig on Tuesday (30MAY06), but have been forced to make alternative arrangements after the singer informed them she couldn't join them on stage to perform their 1996 hit IF YOU EVER.

Singer BRYAN HARVEY says, "Gab's great, but Shola's better. She sounds superb."
