Supermodel KATE MOSS is set to play the lead role of mythical figure LADY GODIVA in an upcoming movie.

Kate Moss in North London. London, England - 11.05.06.

The 32-year-old will play the beautiful woman famous in British folklore for riding naked through the streets of the Coventry, England, to save the poor from paying taxes.

Director VICKY JEWSON chose Moss for the revealing role because of her stunning looks and also the resilience she has shown in the face of media hostility since started her turbulent relationship with BABYSHAMBLES singer PETE DOHERTY last year (05).

Jewson says, "She's so perfect for the role. After all, Lady Godiva's tale is all about one woman's triumph over adversity."
