LING TO STAR IN SHANGHAI BABY

Chinese movie star BAI LING is set to star in the film SHANGHAI BABY based on the best-selling book by banned novelist (ZHOU) WEI HUI.

Bai Ling

The tale of sexual liberation in modern China will feature a Chinese woman, played by Ling, who is torn between her oriental traditions and her lust for a Western lifestyle.

Ling's character must also choose between two men - one in Shanghai, China and one in Berlin, Germany.

The book sold over six million copies and has been translated into 34 languages.

Production is scheduled to begin in September (06).
