Northern Irish rockers SNOW PATROL have recorded a version of a JOHN LENNON track to highlight the ongoing suffering in war-torn Sudan.
Paul Wilson, Gary Lightbody and Nathan Connolly of Snow Patrol perform at Virgin Megastore, Dublin, Ireland - 28.04.06
The former BEATLE's song ISOLATION is being covered by the band as part of human rights group Amnesty International's new online video campaign for the troubled African country.
The rockers were introduced to the project by crusading U2 star BONO, who has also enlisted the help of Hollywood actor DON CHEADLE.
Internet audiences are encouraged to send an e-card to Sudan's Minister for Justice after watching the video.
Snow patrol frontman GARY LIGHTBODY says, "Music is a good way of bringing awareness to people without ramming it down their throats because it is something everyone can relate to."
