WOOD'S WIFE WARDS OFF TOPLESS GROUPIES

RONNIE WOOD's wife JO never has to worry about groupies moving in on her guitarist husband, as she has always been present to ward off any ardent admirers.

The ex-model, who has been on every ROLLING STONES tour since she got together with Wood in the 1970s, avoids any awkwardness by making friends with the fans.

She says, "We've been married a long time and I know he's not going to throw it all away over a groupie.

"In the old days there were hundreds of them. They'd stand right in front of the stage and take their tops off.

"Later some bloke would bring them backstage and they'd be eyeing Ronnie and I'd think, 'Oh no,' but I'd say, 'Ooh, I saw your t**ties out there. Hi, I'm Jo,' and it would all be cool."
