GLITTER APPEAL POSTPONED

LATEST: Disgraced British rocker GARY GLITTER's appeal against his three-year child molestation sentence has been postponed.

The shamed 61-year-old singer, real name PAUL FRANCIS GADD, was sentenced to three years behind bars in March (06), but he was due to appeal against his conviction at a hearing scheduled for Friday (19MAY06) in Ho Chi Minh City.

Glitter's lawyer LE THAN KIN says, "His trial was postponed until an unknown date. The reason is authorities need more time to organise it.

"I believe it could happen in early June."

The former glam rocker is set to appeal against the evidence used against him - he claims it was "unreliable" and "unreasonable".
