COLDPLAY STAR: 'I HATE AWARD SHOWS'

COLDPLAY bassist GUY BERRYMAN has hit out at music industry award ceremonies - insisting they are simply record label "showcases".

The CLOCKS star would rather snub the awards and play a gig, as it is more important to connect to the fans than be fawned upon by executives.

He says, "I hate them. They are so chaotic and finish before you can blink.

"They are just showcases for record companies. Our concerts are from us to the fans."
