EAST 17 star TONY MORTIMER was shocked when he heard British group GIRLS ALOUD's version of his hit STAY ANOTHER DAY, because they had given it a romantic slant even though it is about his brother's suicide.
Mortimer, 35, insists he loves the girl band, but wishes they'd left the deeply personal song alone.
He says, "I found it really odd they were singing a song about my dead brother.
"It should've been left alone for a few years. I love Girls Aloud, although I prefer to watch them rather than listen to them.
"If we ever do a big tour they'd be the first band I'd ask to come on the road with us."
