T.I. SPEAKS AT SLAIN PA MEMORIAL

LATEST: Rapper T.I. paid final respects to his slain friend and personal assistant PHILANT JOHNSON yesterday (08MAY06) during a memorial service in Atlanta, Georgia.

The rap star, real name CLIFFORD HARRIS, joined 600 mourners in the Jackson Memorial Baptist Church to celebrate the life of Johnson, who was gunned down in a Cincinnati shootout last Wednesday (03MAY06).

Taking the podium T.I. said, "We are family for life.

"I've held the microphone at many concerts and other situations, but I've never had to do anything this hard before.

"I can tell you that we had a lot of fun spending a lot of money. We rode a lot of different cars and we just had fun."

Police are continuing their investigation into the bullet battle which injured four. Johnson, 26, was the only casualty.

T.I. resumes his tour in New Orleans, Louisiana, later today (09MAY06).
