The RHINESTONE COWBOY star spent ten days in jail after the incident which shocked his family, friends and fans around the world.

But the 70-year-old insists he is a reformed character, saying, "Everyone makes mistakes and you learn from mistakes. Even at my age I learned a valuable lesson. It has made me the person I am today, that's the way I see it.

"I have apologised to my wife, my family, my friends, and my fans. I now shut out the dark things and think happy thoughts and let God handle it.

"I feel sorry for the things I've done, but there's nothing I can do about them."
