BROWN PLANS PRISON RETURN

Ex-STONE ROSES frontman and jailbird IAN BROWN is planning on playing a series of UK prison gigs.

Brown, who in 1999 served two months in prison for threatening an air stewardess, now wants to return to an English jail - but as a musician rather than an inmate.

He says, "I might have a chance of getting in Preston jail. I'm trying to get three or four prisons, do a little prison tour.

"Instead of doing little clubs as a warm-up for a big festival. That would be really cool."
