Jazz great DAVE BRUBECK is set for a major honour if officials in Concord, California, agree to name a park after the TAKE 5 hitmaker.
The city council members will consider renaming Concord Boulevard Neighbourhood Park after Brubeck at a meeting this week (begs08MAY06).
Locals proposed the idea as a way of paying tribute to the hometown hero, 85, who helped establish the Concord Jazz Festival in the city.
Brubeck will be honoured by city dignitaries on 16 May (06) as they pay tribute to his lifetime achievements.
