PANTERA STAR PLANS SUPERGROUP WITH DAVID ALLEN COE

Former PANTERA star VINNIE PAUL will launch his new record label with the release of his odd collaboration with grizzled country music maverick DAVID ALLEN COE.

Drummer Paul and his late brother DARRELL ABBOTT started recording the album, REBEL MEETS REBEL, with Coe six years ago (00) and completed it in 2004, but it has taken two years to release.

Paul insists the time is right to release the supergroup's album - as a final tribute to his brother, who was shot dead during a DAMAGEPLAN concert in 2004.

He says, "This was a record that was real important to him. He used to call me all the time and joke, 'Man, we gotta get this thing out before he (Coe) kicks the bucket (dies). He's 66-years-old.' Look at the irony of that."

Paul reveals he'll tour with Coe and former Pantera bassist REX BROWN if the Rebel Meets Rebel album is a hit.
